Daddy let one out...

Daddy did a stinky, so I quickly protected myself!

I can hold a cup!

Not a great shot of my face, and the picture itself is a bit jaundiced, but I just wanted to show all of the doubters out there that I am maturing at a blinding pace, drinking from glasses like these as if I were a 6 month old (I am only 5 1/2 months old for those who lost count)

Me in my throne

I love this bouncy thing, cause it makes the center of attention. I can swing myself back and forth, play with the toys, watch the doggie...it's all-around good, clean fun!

Learning to drive (a parked car)

Who says you need good eye-hand coordination before learning to drive? Let me guess - I bet it is the "adults" that came up with that one!

I am chillin' (pretending to be asleep) as the First Laugh Ceremony comes to a close. My mommy and daddy were so proud of me, and to see all of the relatives come out for this was extra special. In terms of tribes/nations represented, we have Navajo, Hopi, Ojibewe, Russian, German, Indian, Irish, etc. It was great to see people come together, laugh and catch up with each other!

Here I am with Neem, my Indian auntie ("dots, not feathers" as she likes to say) at my First Laugh Ceremony. I am examining the Navajo wedding basket for authenticity, as we prepare to give out rock salt (in the basket) to all of the guests who have come for this special event. By giving them the rock salt, I am learning how to give, learning not to be selfish or stingy.

Still learning my skills on the computer...here I am working with a spreadsheet to calculate the number of plastic diapers I have saved by wearing these puffy, conspicuous, embarrassing cloth diapers that my parents are so keen about.
