Not quite as romantic as you might have guessed, given the title. It was just daddy, asking me to get a college scholarship so he won't have to sell the house, and then trying to kiss up to me (literally) afterward
They call me and my mommy's clan the "beach babes" (Zuni Edgewater, my maternal clan in Navajo), and here I am walking as fast as I can around the perimeter of the little people's pool
Ahhh...after mom and dad telling me about the Brewster General Store, I am finally in Cape Cod, at this 150 year old store with my family. I must say, this place lived up to they hype!
Here, daddy is making sure that I don't drive out of control. I love driving, and I borrowed my little friend's car from down the street. He was kind enough to let me test out this blue machine for a few minutes. Zoom, Zoom!
This is me showing Crazy Rick (an uncle from NC) where he missed a spot shaving his beard. Not to worry - I did it politely and with a smile so as not to offend him.
You call this a professional baseball game? I could show these players a thing or two about how baseball is meant to be played. Let's get going and find something a little more interesting to do, something that doesn't put me asleep!
Trying to make a run for it, even though I can't run...seriously, these parents of mine are getting on my nerves, making all of these rules, telling me I have a curfew of midnight and stuff...please, someone out there, help me!
Plain and simple, I love water! When I see water, I have to be in it. On this day, I let a group of visiting Cuban medical students see the Moenave springs, and I straddled behind to play in the water in the stream.
A little foot and toes action! Okay, so I was taking a taste-test. I was trying to figure out if toes taste like pickles, lemon, or salt. At this moment, I can't really tell which one. But I believe that I will be taking plenty more taste-tests soon to find out.
I give up! I am taking a break, especially when I was being helped to walk around. I will just dig myself into the Mother Earth (I figure mom needs to some washing duties anyhow).
This is my cousin brother Cayden Tracey, he is about 3 months older than me. This was our first meeting in Tuba City, with a few laughs and cries together.
Edgewood Firestation really impressed me, with this bright yellow fire engine. Notice our silly faces, as we stand and sit near this huge truck with all our new friends.
Well, I drive a more expensive car than mom and dad. I have my wheels, a pink escalade, with music to bomp to. Clear the halls Albuquerque, here I come.
So, we met up with the clown himself -Patch Adams (in red). We were instructed by Patch to pick your nose, instead of saying "cheese" for the camera. Here I decided to help mom pick her nose.
My friend, the young Navajo woman- Eudora, is playing in the sand with daddy and I. We were really suppose to be listening to the 'music at the zoo'. We had our own adventure, a sandy beach effect, near the pond of the zoo.
Of my many rides, either in the stroller, the car, or the train, here I ride the camel with mommy. They made us take off our sandals, and let the guy in the cowboy hat tug us around. Giddy-up you four-legged creature!!
I am a healer.
I am a father, a husband, a brother, and a son.
I am grateful for each new day, and do my best to show this in my life, my actions, and my writing.
I have turned Writing to Heal into a book! You can buy a copy here. http://www.communitypublishing.org/writing-to-heal/
