Hozho

I am hozho, which means in the Dine' (navajo) language to be at peace, balance, and in harmony. Well, basically to be content. Notice how Mickey, Dollie, Hozhoon (dog), my ceremony basket, and I are all content. Be happy people!

Strike A Pose

Once again, practicing. But for breakdancing. Uncle "deve" (steve), the infamous breakdancing/DJ, showed me a few moves. This is one of my new moves, it's called peek-a-boo.

In Sky City

During the month of April 2010, we decided to take a trip with a lovely Indigenous Health Leadership group. It was awesome to be on a beautiful mesa. We enjoyed ourselves, can't you tell? Go ahead, look again.

My buddy

Nala is my friend, we first met at the local Peace and Justice Center. We are young activist who love sharing our cultures and smiles. Peace everybody!

Practice makes perfect

Here I am in my "practice" fancy shawl dance outfit for pow-wow dancing. This happened back in April 2010. But my real dance outfit and ceremony took place on June 12, 2010. You'll see. Thanks to my grandparents Fleg.

You put your left boot on

Grandmother Tracey seemed to like me dressing up as a little cowgirl. So, I put my cowgirl boots on all by myself. Can't you tell?

In the big blue

water tank at our local aquarium. Say, who is that guy in back of me? More paparazzi!

For You

This song is for you. A-B-C-D, humpty dumpty, incy-wincy spider, and lalalala.

We meet again...

Yes, one of my favorite people made it to my blog again! This is Winona LaDuke! She rocks, literally!!

Finally some hair!

Mommy attempted to get all my hair back and put it into a Navajo -bun, also known as tsiyeel. Unfortunately, not enough hair. Check back in a few months...maybe I'll have a little more. Ahe'hee' (thank you!).

Cool chick in the house

A day of relaxation! I was wearing the necklace my great-grandmother Mae gave me, and some shades got me. Cool stuff.

The youngest NHI-er

I know that you can barely see me, but I made the photo. Mom must have been rushing! Anyway, in this photo are DJ B, Quese IMC, dad, and 'beautiful'-me (L-R) all representing the Native Health Initiative's Decolonize Tobacco Project!

Don't wake me, I'll wake you

Waking from up a long trip to Bismarck, North Dakota with the parents. I was enjoying the evening sunlight and waiting to challenge mom by climbing those stairs behind me.

On business or pleasure

This trip was all pleasure, or was it business. I just remember telling people, "move it, baby coming through." And in the background all I could hear was...."how cute."

Ya'at'eeh shi Ke' doo shi Dine'

....in the Dine' (Navajo) language that means "Hello, my relatives and The People (Navajo)". Have a great one all my relations.
