Holy Cow!

That is definately one large cow! On October 2, 2010 my mom and dad took me to my 2nd annual balloon fiesta launch. Last year, I was only 1 when they brought me...and I don't remember anything.

Make-up?

Nope! I got my face painted on October 2nd, at the Abq Balloon Fiesta. I was excited about all the hot-air balloons, I wanted my cheek to reflect my beautiful morning.....so I asked for a pink and maroon balloon with sparkles.

B-girl in the house

A few nights out of the week, I breakdance to remember my skilled and talented uncle Stephen. Plus a few other b-boys from the local 505.

People, tape players are still here

My favorite songs are on a tape, so dad was kind enough to introduce me to a cassette player. A cassette player, you ask? Is what our past generations use to use, before the ipod and even a cd player. Cassette players are what made hip-hop what it is today!

Jemez Falls.....

I went camping for the first time, with my parents the last week of September 2010! It was fun. We even took our dog with us. Brrrrr, freezing, but beautiful.

Once again, at my favorite park!!

Only on this day, it was ruined by a local cat. Imagine me chasing a stray cat away, saying "shhhhhhhhhhhh, out of here cat!" Ewwww, that cat did #2 in my favorite park. I know my fav park looks like a huge cat litter, but didn't that cat notice kids playing in the area. So, my favorite park was off limits for a while.

B-girls and B-boys

Uncle Stephen, you'd be proud of me! I know it doesn't seem like much was happening, but I got some skills.

Farmer Nizhoni

I was practicing being farmer at the Old McDonald zoo farm, at the 2010 Albuquerque State Fair.

First ride at the NM State Fair

I was a "big girl", at the NM State Fair in October 2010. I was able to get on a three kitty rides; the cars, helicopter, and elephant ride. It was fun. Next year, I will be taller which means more rides!!!

At my favorite park

in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When you visit me, I will show where my favorite park is at. Don't forget to ask me about it.

2 year wellness check-up

For me, not my care bear. The provider said everything was good. I scored a 110%.

Nizhonigo' nashaa

which means...In Beauty I walk.

Harvest time

in August 2010. This is from our Albuquerque backyard, we planted some corn. This corn is almost as tall as me!

Giddy-yup

In Yarmouth, MA we found a zoo and I got to ride this lovely pony. He was gentle and cute. Dad was at my side, supporting me.

Hanging with some chicks..

Of course, with some feathery two-legged chickens. They were not scared of us, can you tell!

Here chicky,

I patiently fed the chicken with daddy. That chicken was one of many, just wondering around outside a cafe shop.

Once again, asking for a picture

I found this wooden hand-shaped sculpture and it was calling me to sit in it. So, I did! I just relaxed there, waiting for mom and dad to shop.

Only with grandmother

This summer 2010, I also got into grandmother's (Rosie) purse and found her lipstick. I tried on some to see if it was my color. What do you think?

I love the bouncy

Bounce, Bounce, Bounce! Where all the bouncing can happen, and often be free of injury.

The eyes see beauty

This summer 2010 was beautiful! I went to a conference, with the parents, at the Santa Ana Hotel in Santa Ana, NM. There I found a water sculpture. I just had to ask mom to take my picture...and she did!

Cheese, Uncle Shaun!

This ASU (Arizona State University) outfit is from my uncle Shaun. Thanks uncle! I am sporting it at a local b-ball event daddy is playing in. Everyone thought I was a boy, just because I had "short hair". Imagine getting comments like, "he's cute!"

Happy 2nd Birthday to me!

In case you forgot when I was born...August 4th, 2008! This cake was a tasty birthday gift, from my good ole' friend Mrs. Roxane Spruce-Bly. She is awesome. I am winking people, not shutting my eyes.

Never mind the body...

Check out my silly bands on my wrist! I have about 24 bands on the wrist. I am also sitting in my bumbo chair, which is not a potty chair. And if you think I am nude, think again, I am wearing an underwear. Look again, at my bracelets!

I can do it!

The ole' spoon on the nose trick. I learned this from my grandmother, Susie, who learned it from her grandmother.

A Gala in DC!

On the night of July 26th, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit with my young pal Sandy Elliott of Dunn, North Carolina. We go way back.

Visit to Washington, DC

In July 2010, I visited DC. I wanted to see Pres. Obama, but he skipped out for lunch this day. So, I got a view of the capital building instead. Plus, I picked some sticks on the lawn and realized they wouldn't fit in my suitcase.

Ready for surgery.

Gloves, check. Stethascope, check. Patient, checked out...what! Get me a new patient.

Cheese!

Today, I learned how to take a picture of myself..on mom's cell-phone camera.

Mother Earth is beautiful!

I am thankful that I visited the beautiful Grand Canyon!

Don't ever give up!

You get help from relatives, if you just ask and keep trying. Here, my auntie Tressie helps me try to move this rock. Hey, we tried...but thought it was better for it to stay right where it was resting.

4th of July night in Albuquerque

My family headed out to our local 4th of July festival, at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta field and found the amazing looking hot-air balloons. Amazing night light glow!!

One high kick

Loving the ride in the safety swing at our local park.

Peace

I learned to signal Peace! Now, I use that show how old I am..yup, 2 years old.

Thumbs up!

Good Job, kid! Keep up the great work.

Don't look down

More than 200 feet above the ground, I am aboard the Sandia Tramway. Beautiful scenary and ride, if you are not afraid of heights. I was just informed to stay away from the windows and doors.

It takes patience...

Excuse me, I meant patients, to learn about medicine. I was checking grandmother Susie's temperature and she checked out okay. Next....

Slow down...

Grandma Rosie seems to be enjoying this swing ride with me, in beautiful Cape May, NJ. Wait for me grandma!!!

My first day of practice....

As dad is talking to an agent about signing me up, I practice some home-run slugs. Of course, it always feels better when you can be so comfortable wearing your best outfit (a safety diaper).

A special moment!

Entering the circle for the first time and I am loving it!

Ready for the Pow-Wow trail

I am ready to dance tonight! Dancing at the Pow-Wow in my REGALIA, not a costume! My mocs are beaded, fancy shawl has fringes, and I am ready to dance in my dress. Tiny-Tots Fancy Shawl Dance category!

Paging Dr. Baby Fleg

As dad quickly gives me the pager number, and I answer a night-call. I reply to the nurse, 'Page for Dr. Baby Fleg. Yes, I see. I hear....sounds good to me, proceed as directed.' Then I take a quick break to snack, with mom and dad.

Happy, Happy, Happy!

I love you this much, and more! Be Happy!

To'ei'iina (Water is Life)

To' = Iina (Water equals Life). Ahe'hee Shi Diyin Dine' (Thank You my Holy People), for giving us this beautiful essense of life.

Follow me dad!

I am a leader, not a follower. Notice who is following me...without his shoes, dad.

Lady in Pink

It is amazing, even when little girls wear pink and a little bow on the hair, some people still insist on calling us a boy! Gee, just because my hair is so short does not mean I am a boy. I am a "big-girl, not baby."

Hozho

I am hozho, which means in the Dine' (navajo) language to be at peace, balance, and in harmony. Well, basically to be content. Notice how Mickey, Dollie, Hozhoon (dog), my ceremony basket, and I are all content. Be happy people!

Strike A Pose

Once again, practicing. But for breakdancing. Uncle "deve" (steve), the infamous breakdancing/DJ, showed me a few moves. This is one of my new moves, it's called peek-a-boo.

In Sky City

During the month of April 2010, we decided to take a trip with a lovely Indigenous Health Leadership group. It was awesome to be on a beautiful mesa. We enjoyed ourselves, can't you tell? Go ahead, look again.

My buddy

Nala is my friend, we first met at the local Peace and Justice Center. We are young activist who love sharing our cultures and smiles. Peace everybody!

Practice makes perfect

Here I am in my "practice" fancy shawl dance outfit for pow-wow dancing. This happened back in April 2010. But my real dance outfit and ceremony took place on June 12, 2010. You'll see. Thanks to my grandparents Fleg.
