Hula dancin' to sleep

Just as I got in line, to get my picture taken with these dancing girls with natural green leaf dresses, I feel asleep. So, I just told mom to stay in line and get my picture with them anyway. By the way, I too was hula dancing earlier. I am sorry but no pictures to prove this one. Just imagine it, please.

Face it boys...

I may be smaller then you two, but I sure can give orders. Yes, even with only one sandal on, move it guys! Dad can back me up...Hold me back dad, hold me back.

This is green...

here, I explain to dad that this bush has green leaves. Dad says, "yeah, I agree" then quietly whispers that he actually thinks this is a place where we can probably hide out from mom.

In the largest pool...

of the warm waters of Hawaii. Aaaaah, shout out to all my Navajo relatives of the Edgewater or Tabaaha kinship....all you beach girls and beach boys!!

Beautiful Rose....

here I wear a beautiful Hawaiian Lei that was beautifully scented (and tasty).

La, la, la, mamama, dadadada

is what I said, when I sang along with this Native Hawaiian. He was so thoughtful, as he sang a song about my smile and beauty. Oh, thank you guitar man.

Tiki known as "Ku"

which is suppose to radiate strenght, wisdom, and courage. Oh, did I tell dad to rush over to the not so scary looking tiki to gain some of that energy. The tiki was once again the beautiful rain forest garden of Hilo. Energy to you too!

Stuck in the middle...

with mom and dad. Finally, a photo of us three. I am smiling, really, I am! Behind us are the little falls of the rain forest of Hilo, Hawaii. I hope I can remember this visit.

The beautiful....

flowers, they are called Nizhoni and Shannon. They are desert flowers that bloom in the Rain forest of Hilo, Hawaii. Notice their vibrant colors and joyful appearance.

CAUTION....

the Big Island turles, in Hawaii are larger than me. I am demonstrating how the turtles might bite your fingers or hand, as I clinch mommy's hand with my fingers. I think they should also create signs to post that say, "Caution: Babies may bite (even if they have no teeth)."

I can do it....

Yes, no hands to help me sit on my own. I am not looking at you because I am concentrating on a future model pose, hmmm shall I cross my legs? I was practing in Santa Monica, CA at a local park overlooking the ocean. Look at the sun shine on me! O' Happy Day!!

Headin' back to New York....

my aunt Helen and uncle Dave are standing with my daddy and I. They hung out in Crownpoint- Navajo reservation tribal community, and visited with us often. I surely enjoyed their happy presence. I am just waiting for mom and dad to say, "ok baby, pack your clothe diapers and lets head to NY!!"...hint...hint mom and dad.

I can brush my...gums

Though I might now have teeth in yet, I can still wield a mean little toothbrush...check out my technique in this shot - nice, smooth circular motion, just like the dentist recommends!

Bathing with daddy

Me is getting clean!

Hangin' wit' shi zhe'ii (dad) and shi che (grandpa)

We are standing here at an old fort outside of my grandma and grandpa's home community of Moenave. I hate to brag about my ability to snap a great picture, but...

Hangin' wit' shima (mom) and shima sana (grandma)

I love the lighting on this one...I worked the shot for a good ten minutes, adjusting the photo speed and lens brightness buffer before I got the effect I wanted.

Hangin' wit' one of my grandpas

This is me with Mr. Hakim, a gentleman who calls me "Sweet Beautiful" and talks about the similarities in his Afghanistani culture to Navajo traditions.

Guess the theme?

Take a guess about this pic I shot of myself:
1) A picture I submitted to the Wu-Tang clan, asking that I be allowed to become its first female member
2) A picture of me in my bathrobe (doesn't necessarily negate #1)
3) Just chillin'
